Empowervate Trust is a youth development NPO, registered in 2013 and founded by Amanda Blankfield Koseff. Its flagship programme is The Youth Citizens Action Programme (YCAP), which was born out of Afrika Tikkun in 2009. The programme is run in collaboration with the Departments of Basic Education, Sports, Art and Culture.
YCAP empowers and motivates learners from primary and secondary schools to solve or lessen the social, environmental, educational or economic problems within their schools or communities.
Over the past 14 years over 43,617 learners have been impacted by the programme and encouraged to be active citizens with a social entrepreneurship mindset.
Amanda holds an honours degree in Organisational Communication, completing her undergraduate degree through Bond University, and honours through UNISA. She has extensive experience in marketing and events management. Amanda is passionate about youth development and human resilience to triumph over adversity.
