‘If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough’. This quote from Ellen Johnson Sirleaf embodies the work of Community Keepers.
Community Keepers’ dream is to partner with as many funders and school communities as possible to build a culture of well-being. They are committed to reaching the furthest first, leaving no one behind. Community Keepers believes that no one should be denied mental health care because they are poor or live in a remote place.
They work in challenging environments and situations as staff have to intervene in the lives of children and young people. Community Keepers welcomes disruptive children and difficult teenagers who are withdrawn, anxious or angry – appearing to cope but masking to keep the peace.
Their reward is witnessing clients believing in the hope of possibility.
