WHAT TO EXPECT
One day of industry discussions
The primary objective of the CSI Legacy Conference is to provide a dynamic platform that encapsulates the essence of the constantly evolving landscape of social development.
By bringing together stakeholders from diverse sectors, this one-day conference aims to not only highlight emerging trends but also to showcase and celebrate exemplary initiatives that have made a tangible impact on social development.
Furthermore, the conference seeks to foster collaborations that drive sustainable and positive social change, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and collective action in addressing key societal challenges.
CONFERENCE THEME
Before Impact
As South Africa marked thirty years of democracy, it’s evident that making a real difference requires collaboration. Tackling issues like poverty, inequality, and unemployment calls for collective action across various sectors. The upcoming CSI Legacy Conference aims to delve into how Corporate Social Investment (CSI) can effect long-term change through cooperative initiatives guided by a common vision. By fostering a sense of shared or collective responsibility, the conference will bring together corporate leaders, social investors, policymakers, and change-makers to re-imagine our approach to socioeconomic challenges as a united front.
Collective impact goes beyond individual efforts but encourages individual impact as long as they align with a shared or collective vision. It involves bringing together various sectors – business, government, civil society, and communities – around a common goal. This collaborative approach has the potential to drive significant change in the years ahead, creating comprehensive solutions for South Africa’s most pressing issues.
At Simphiwe Mtetwa (Pty) Ltd., we recognise that establishing a solid foundation today is crucial for fostering enduring transformation through collective impact. The choices we make today will shape the collective impact of the next 30 years, ensuring that our combined efforts create a lasting legacy.
