Introduction

Corporates that invest in social responsibility in South Africa came out in droves to deliver services and impact during the Covid-19 pandemic.  We saw the most amazing relief efforts captured on mainstream media as CSI funding fuelled delivery trucks, sanitised classrooms and fed millions of families while putting their own lives at risk.

8 conversations is a series that will be looking at 8 companies that have given through the pandemic.  We will be revisiting some of the decisions that were made in their boardrooms to help countless South Africans.

About 8 conversations

The 8 conversations series will review 8 of the most pressing and prominent stories of the previous years in the CSI South Africa community.  This year we will be looking at the KZN pandemic, of course, but the main focus of this series’ 8 conversations will be Covid-19.

The 8 conversations series comprises a smart-printed, +100-page coffee table book with podcast interviews, short impactful vlogs, and 8 online conversations that we will run on CSR NEWS for 3 months as exclusive features for 8 partners by invitation only.  The partners will be 8 of the best CSIs in South Africa, chosen from over 6 000 registered companies.  We will work with them to bring the year to life in reviews in 4 formats – digital, print, audio and video.
