Editor’s Note – Quarter 3

Hello friends,

As this quarter sails along, we move from celebrating Mandela Day to looking forward to Women’s Day and other fun events.

I have had the honour of talking with the respectable Ms. Phumzile Mlambo Ngcuka, who used to be the Deputy President and Executive Director for UN Women. We talked about working together in the CSI sector and her organisation. Ms. Mlambo Ngcuka will be on the front cover of the next edition of CSI Matter, coming out at the end of August. We are excited to make new partnerships and encourage everyone interested to join us using the link below. Please remember that we are accepting submissions for this issue until August 16th, and the magazine will be out on August 30th. If you have any questions, you can contact me or Dylan, our design editor.

This quarter, we are working hard on our plan to fight what we call the Trinity Plagues: Unemployment, Inequality, and Poverty. I have met with government officials and business partners to talk about how CSI can help solve these problems. We also started a podcast about the future of CSI. You can listen to our episodes on our platform. Recently, we talked about workplace trauma and how to recognise it.

We are happy to have clinical psychologist Nomfundo Mogapi joining us this quarter with further episodes scheduled. The podcasts conversations will talk about corporate bullying and other important issues about mental health at work.

Looking ahead, the CSI Legacy Awards are coming soon. Nominations will open in about a month. We are excited to host our first nomination conference for the CSI Legacy Awards on October 29th – called The CSI Legacy Conference. We are only inviting 50 delegates for this conference. There are many exciting things happening, so we hope you will join us and learn more.

Please subscribe and help us shape the future of CSI together with our business community.
