With just one week remaining until the highly anticipated CSI Legacy Awards, we reflect on the remarkable journey of this event. What started as a modest initiative has evolved into a platform celebrating excellence in Corporate Social Investment (CSI)—I can hardly believe it! This growth is thanks to Standard Bank, Coca-Cola, and our newest partner, Old Mutual. And this growth is thanks to all our judges, past and present—THANK YOU!
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the finalists and wish them the very best.
The evening will commence with arrivals and a red carpet experience at The Rosebank from 18:15 to 18:45, streamed live on our YouTube channel for those who wish to be part of the moment virtually. The official programme will begin at 19:00, bringing together an outstanding cross-section of leaders from the CSI industry. Esteemed figures such as Dr. Imtiaz Sooliman from Gift of the Givers, former Deputy Minister of Social Development Dr. Henrietta Bogopane-Zulu, and the Commissioner for the National Lotteries Commission will be in attendance, alongside key corporate stakeholders from Cell C, Standard Bank, Old Mutual, Santam, KFC, Aranda Textile, Clientelle life and many others.
This year’s ticket sales have been exceptional, with over 300 seats already sold. While official sales have now closed, we may open additional seats next Monday, pending final seating arrangements. We encourage those who were unable to secure a ticket to reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, please understand that seating is strictly allocated based on the venue’s theatre-style arrangement. If we are unable to accommodate additional guests, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you at the next CSI Legacy Awards.
The networking session will be an unforgettable experience, featuring entertainment by the renowned Soweto String Quartet, adding a touch of elegance and celebration to the evening.
The continued growth of these awards is both humbling and inspiring. At Simphiwe Mtetwa, our mission is to foster meaningful conversations that drive social development and create lasting impact in South Africa. As we prepare to celebrate five years of the CSI Legacy Awards next year, we are committed to delivering something extraordinary. In honour of this milestone, we have collaborated with the esteemed artist responsible for the iconic national statue in Pretoria to design a bespoke award that encapsulates both South African and African heritage. This statue will serve as a symbol of our collective commitment to CSI and the transformative power of social investment.
We are excited to celebrate this journey with you. Your insights, feedback, and participation are invaluable as we continue to shape the future of CSI in South Africa. We invite you to partner with us, not just in recognising excellence but in building a legacy of sustainable development for the next 30 years.
For those still hoping to attend, we encourage you to stay connected over the coming days. As we finalise guest lists, judge confirmations, and seating arrangements, we will announce any additional ticket availability. Should seats become available, sales will reopen briefly and close at least 48 hours before the event.
Finally, we extend our congratulations to this year’s finalists:
