Johannesburg, 07 November 2024 – After an extensive review of 190 entries, the 2025 CSI Legacy Awards is proud to announce its 15 finalists, each representing the pinnacle of Corporate Social Investment (CSI) in South Africa.
These awards are not merely a competition—they are a platform for learning and collaboration, providing insight into the most impactful and innovative work happening on the ground across the country today.
The finalists will now go head-to-head in the next phase of judging, which begins on 01 February 2025. This critical stage will be conducted by a new panel of judges, who will rigorously evaluate each finalist. The judging process will conclude on 15 February 2025, after which the awards ceremony will take place a week or so later, on 27 February 2025, to announce the winners and celebrate their remarkable achievements.
The awards ceremony, to be held in Rosebank, is supported by Standard Bank and Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA). Coca-Cola will award ZAR 20,000 to the winner in each category, while Standard Bank will contribute an additional ZAR 100,000, to the winners, further empowering these exceptional organisations and individuals.
Under the theme “Africa in Concert”, the event will reflect on 30 years of democracy while showcasing the bold and innovative efforts shaping the next 30 years of social and economic transformation.

Best Corporate
Recognising companies raising the standard for CSI excellence:

- Kellanova, represented by Zandile Mposwelwa
- Santam, represented by Neptal Khoza
Best Woman in CSI
Celebrating women leading transformative efforts:
- Colleen Larsen, Business Engage Association
- Captain Londy Ngcobo, Unlocking Oceans Economy
- Tersia Mdunge, Santam
Best Social Enterprise
Highlighting enterprises tackling societal challenges with sustainability:
- Rhiza Ventures, represented by Ashmita Singh
- Reforge Consulting, represented by Diane Laughksch
- Lusa Social Entrepreneurship Institute, represented by Veronica Kietzmann-Cronje
Best NGO
Recognising organisations making significant contributions to social change:
- The Columba Leadership Trust, represented by Laura Carvalho
- Afrika Tikkun, represented by Dr Onyi Nwaneri
- JumpStart Foundation Trust, represented by Callen Hodgskiss
Best Rising NGO
Acknowledging emerging organisations with great potential for impact:
